sometimes God cracks me up with His provision. you know that He just has to get a kick out of providing for us in unusual ways and seeing our bewildered faces when it's right infront of us! today while i was cleaning beach houses my boss yelled out from the kitchen. i walked in and the fridge was stock full of food. good expensive food too! what that means for the cleaners: we get to keep it! a little while later she yelled out again. the food cupboard was filled with food too! i went home with four grocery bags full of random food and beverage. you know, i could have gone without buying my groceries a couple of days ago. half the stuff i brought home i had bought myself. i'm going to see if we keep finding food and see how long it is till i need to buy groceries again. this should be fun! it's like getting paid to go grocery shopping. hahaha. God is so funny and so fantastic.

i periodically think about this little moment last week when i went to the beach with daniel. we had been in the water and noticed the stuff i had set down was getting close to the water (thanks to the tide). as we made our way back to shore this teeny tiny little girl gently carried my glasses and my t-shirt to me saying in the smallest little voice, "these almost got wet." it's one of those moments that you can literally feel your heart squeeze from the gentleness and innocence of a little child. she was adorable, she guarded my things just because she wanted and without fear brought the things she saved to someone she had never met, beaming with pride. though i had never seen her before and probably never will again i got an understanding of the way God must look down upon us. such awe and love. a deep sense of just wanting to pick us up and squeeze us all day long bc he just thinks we're that awesome. the little moves we make put such a smile on His face.
