well i'm back from my trip. it feels good to be home.

you don't realize how much you appreciate people close to you until you're away for a while. that's cheesy but it's the truth. seeing all my "college buddies" gave me that boost i've been needing and then sitting with amy and phil last night, chilling like usual, was refreshing and a nice welcome home. ha, and as phil so kindly pointed out, i didn't have as many stories as i had thought. i blame the exhaustion. thus this brings me to today.

my brain has been sorting through and attempting to organize all i did, all i saw and what i learned in that short week and a half. there's so much crammed up in my brain right now i can't tell heads from tails. but slowly things are piecing themselves together which makes me once more excited to share these things. but i need a new journal. mine is almost through. this is the first time i've been without a back up journal so i'm hoping to hit up manteo booksellers somtime soon to find my next one.

i have to say life is confusing again. not really sure where i'm supposed to be. that's a defeating feeling. the next few weeks will be full of research, prayer and [hopefully] trusting. pray for me if you think about it sometimes. i'm going to need as much backing up as i can get.

"There's a river underneath us
It's been looking for truth
There's a river in my veins
It's been looking for you
There's a river in our blood
From my fathers on through
I see you looking for the ocean, honey
There is a river in you

It's deep in your eyes (There is a river)
Deep in your eyes (The river runs)

I can see your eyes moving
Looking down towards the shore
You've been searching for substance
You've been searching for more
I can see your eyes moving
It had been twisting around
You've been looking for something, honey
That you haven't yet found

It's deep in your eyes (There lies a river)
Deep in your eyes (The river runs)
I see a river
Are you ready to learn?
There is a river in your eyes" --jon foreman
