patience is a virtue

i sit here trying to pass sometime as i wait for my apartment mate to get off work. (in case some of you may be wondering what her name is if i haven't told you already, it's jo beth) because i'm not working currently anywhere i'm left to myself quite a few evenings. i've seen more movies in the past week and a half than i probably did last month as a whole. but it's okay :].

last night we had planned on having a couple high school friends over. (by high school friends, i mean, they really are in high school) it was going to just be dakota and matt and it ended up being them along with daniel and a girl i hadn't met yet named katie. they all filed in at once after jo beth's shift and i have to say it was a pleasant sight because i had been alone pretty much the whole day. jo beth bought frozen pizzas for our dinner (yum!) and katie had gotten two grocery bags full of junk food. it was awesome! we watched the italian job and then when we dropped daniel off at his house we ended up chilling in his yard for a while just messing around. we even stargazed for a while.

after we left matt and daniel at daniel's house we four girls headed back here. we popped in a girly movie, at cookie dough and pop corn and goofed off till we felt it was time for bed.

i really enjoy spending time with this group. they are primarily all from jo beth's youth group. they've all welcomed me in with open arms and now i'm concidered apart of the "group" ;]. it's kinda neat. i always feel better when i've got some friends in close proximity. making new ones is always a lovely experience anyways.

i'm so anxious to get started working with the church. i feel slightly worthless just sitting around here all the time without anything really to do. it's been the biggest lesson in patience and trust i think i've had thus far. i've been mulling around some thoughts as to why it's been taking things a while to get started and why things have taken a slightly different direction that intended. i don't doubt it's all going to work out fine. i'm looking forward to finding out why things are different and slow. i figure it's going to be an awesome light bulb effect. :]

mmk friends well i think that's all for now.

love to all!
