the bright side.

time for another update. things have started looking up today. well, things have genearlly been good reguardless but it looks like doors (or at least some windows) are being opened. last night i sent out my application to west coast bible. i was pretty sure that if i didn't get into this online school, i'd almost HAVE to go back to jbc. the thought alone terrified me. to my pleasant suprise i recieved an email this morning from wcbcs thanking me for my app and saying that as soon as i get my application fee in i'll be able to register for classes. PRAISE GOD.

i can't tell you how excited i am to take online classes. to pretty much have my own schedule and pace has got me anxious to get started. i feel like i'm going to learn so much more this way. i'm even concidering taking certain classes over again. we'll see how long it's going to take me to finish after i get classes transfered over. i'm excited :].

i also went a little job hunting today. haha i didn't get very far because i stopped by the beach to say hi to jo, matt and daniel and ended up getting all wet. but right before that i stopped at the shopping strip where southern bean is to check out the bead store, amity and any other places i happened to see. the bead store's help wanted sign had been taken down so i headed to amity (this neat boutique i hadn't been in before). the girl told me that she's pretty sure they're hiring because everyone's leaving soon cause summer is coming to an end. "it's a real easy job and everyone is nice". she took down my name, number and availability. i'm hopeful. it would be a sweet place to work for! i'm praying that whoever is in charge will see my name and give me a call. soon.

lets see...what else do i have to report? i'm banking on not getting the youth ministry job. been bracing myself for it and though i'll be bummed if i don't get it, expecting not to will help it be easier to swallow.

oh! i'm friends with a local hs art teacher and i'm going to try to do some art events with her (and brent and kim for that matter) as well as getting some of the local artists (probably just my churchobx artist friends) together for some art jam sessions. i'm stoked. her name is jenna. she caught me sunday morning and talked to me about it some. : D

i'm continually humbled by my friends here. they're such a great group of people. i've been spending more time with claire which has blessed my heart times ten. she's the coolest and wise beyond her years. and though i haven't spent as much time with jo, dakota, matt and daniel as i had been at the beginning of the summer...i still adore spending time with that gang- they're so much fun. i miss chilling with them. ah yes and i've also gotten to spend a good amount of time with phil which has been great. he's been a huge encouragement. i thank God for someone whose experiencing similar stuff as me, or had recently. gives me good perspective. he's pretty awesome :]. OH and the gel group folks are pretty amazing. i've got some foundation started with them and i can't wait to build upon it.

feeling better about things.
